Blue flag award winning Roker Beach in Sunderland with a stunning sandy beach and attractions for the whole family.

In the summertime the beach is the perfect place for sandcastles and buckets and spades and strolling along the promenade with an ice cream. There is safe bathing and RNLI Lifeguards on duty in the holidays.

Water sports including surfing, windsurfing and sea kayaking are popular all year round.

There are cafes restaurants and public toilets close to the beachfront.

This beach is dog friendly with restrictions from May 1 to September 30.
