Crimdon Beach on the Durham Heritage Coast, once home to thriving 1950’s holiday resort, is a unspoilt sandy beach backed sand dunes and a nature reserve. The beach and Durham Coast National Nature Reserve are popular with nature lovers and birdwatchers and are an important breeding ground for the Little Tern, one of the UK’s rare sea birds.

Great for families Crimdon is a designated bathing beach popular with swimmers in the Summer with holiday parks backing the beach.
