Award-winning Joss Bay is a popular sandy beach in Broadstairs on the Kent Coast. This north east facing beach is backed by cliffs, and has facilities for families.

Great for surfing

The beach is home to the Joss Bay Surf School offering professional surf lessons for people of all ages and abilities. There are RNLI lifeguards on duty throughout the summer season.

For a more relaxing afternoon there is a Cafe on the beachfront and deckchairs for hire.

Did you Know? The Bay is named after Joss Snelling, the notorious smuggler and head of the Callis Court Gang.

Joss Bay is dog friendly from October through to the end of April and restricted from 1 May to 30 September from 10am – 6pm.

For a game of golf with a seaview, head to the course at the North Foreland Golf Club.
