Haverigg Beach

Visit Haverigg Beach

Haverigg is a small seaside village resort on the Cumbrian coast with an award winning beach. The beach features a long stretch of sand, making it ideal for various recreational activities.

The coastal path is on the east of the beach, by the large sculpture – Escape to the light’.

Did you Know? In 2003, the 7 tonne sculpture ‘Escape to Light’ by the world famous sculptress Josefina de Vasconcellos was installed, dedicated to all Inshore Rescue Teams in the UK.

The beach is backed by sand dunes, providing a beautiful natural setting and panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

On the edge of Hodbarrow Lagoon is the Hodbarrow RSPB nature reserve which is a haven for wildlife and wading birds.
