Countdown begins for the UK’s No1 FOOD FESTIVAL!

Take the bait and enjoy the fun at one of the UK’s leading food festivals – Pembrokeshire Fish Week 2014!

Between 28th June and 6th July, the Pembrokeshire Fish Week Festival has events for people of all ages across Pembrokeshire, celebrating the county’s superb fish and shellfish, the spectacular coastline, and the county’s maritime heritage.

Listed as the UK’s No1 Food Festival by the Independent and known as one of the tastiest festivals in Europe, Pembrokeshire Fish Week offers a variety of eating out events for all tastes. From fish themed nights, taster menus, BBQ’s, tapas, to good old traditional fish and chips. Take the opportunity to mix your eating out experience with a friendly pub quiz or enjoy entertainment from some of the counties talented musicians.

If you want to have a go at some cooking yourself, why not reserve a space at one of our master class workshops, and food trails. New for 2014 will be a Back to Basics Fish Filleting and Cookery Workshop.

Also new for this year is Pembroke Castle’s ‘Prawns’, or rather ‘Proms’ in the Castle. Enjoy music from the Welsh Philharmonic Orchestra, while you picnic in spectacular surroundings, plus fireworks to create a fitting finale to the festival week.

For heritage and angling fans, Cilgerran Castle will be hosting a new coracle fishing activity throughout the week.

Don’t forget to book your seat at the celebrity chef seafood Masterclass at the Torch Theatre in Milford Haven on July 2nd, a lively evening, promising once again to entertain and teach.

Throughout the week, there are plenty of events to keep families busy, from wildlife watching, to beach exploring, art and craft drop in sessions to discovery coastal paddles. Why not have a go at seashore foraging or learn to fish, also available are fishing boat trips as well as relaxed river trips.

For those wanting to get some fresh sea air and an adrenaline buzz, there are plenty of opportunities to join some of the County’s leading coastal activity leaders to try a number of activities from Coasteering, to Surfing, to Kayaking.

The festival week begins, Saturday 28th June with a big opening day for families and foodies at Milford Fish Docks, packed with cookery demonstrations, hands on activities, stalls, workshops, entertainment and music stage. Come along and enjoy the fun!
