Fishstock Brixham 2013

Fishstock Brixham Festival

Bringing you the best seafood experience in South Devon

Fishstock Brixham, the English Riviera’s hugely popular urban music and seafood festival takes place on Saturday, 7th September 2013 at the new Fish Quay on Brixham’s picturesque fishing harbour.

The festival is a real hit for the whole family as thousands of visitors taste the mouthwatering seafood and marvel at the live theatre cooking demonstrations on two kitchen stages with some of the English Riviera’s most famous chefs. The fish couldn’t be fresher as it comes straight off the boats just a few feet away! This is the real heart of the traditional Brixham fishing industry where generations of fishing families have worked for as long as anyone can remember.

There’s also a big music stage with a vibrant programme of live entertainment and an acoustic stage featuring folk talent; the music keeps on going throughout the evening creating a wonderful atmosphere in the pretty fishing harbour. You can relax, eat drink, chat and soak up the sights and sounds, plus clamber aboard working fishing trawlers & heritage vessels on the quayside. There are also lots of fun activities for the children, including seafood cookery classes in the magical Feast-Bus.

Don’t miss the chance to sample the wares of local food and drink producers and enjoy browsing all the fascinating maritime stands giving expert insights into the marine environment.

Fishstock Brixham is held in aid of the local Fishermen’s Mission. Entry £5, free to accompanied under 15s. Use local car parks or, better still use the Churston Park & Ride with extended hours especially for Fishstock Brixham, thanks to Stagecoach Buses. Why not come over from Torquay on the Greenway or Western Lady Ferry?
