Cwmtydu Beach

Visit Cwmtydu Beach

Cwmtydu Beach is a picturesque and relatively secluded cove located along the Ceredigion coast in Wales.

The small pebble beach sits between cliffs, making it a tranquil spot for relaxation and exploration. The beach was historically used as a smuggler’s hideaway, providing a sheltered location for hiding goods like French brandy and precious salt. Today, it retains its charm with its scenic surroundings and clear waters.

This part of the coast is abundant with wildlife and is home to grey seals which can often be seen bobbing about in the water. So much so, that the beach is also referred to as seal beach. Occasionally you may spot a dolphin or porpoise as well.
