Visit Pendine Sands

Pendine Sands is a glorious seven-mile stretch of sandy beach located along the Carmarthenshire coast in Wales. The beach is famous for its flat, open sand that runs eastward from Ragwen Point.

Pendine Sands beach is split into two areas: a public section and an MOD-owned area to the east. The public area is generally open, but may close for events. The MOD section is mostly closed on weekdays, but open on weekends.

The beach gained fame during the 1920s, for the multiple land speed records that were broken here. This solidified Pendine Sands’ place in motorsport history as an iconic location for fans of speed and adrenaline.
