Visit Alum Chine Beach
Alum Chine Beach in Bournemouth is a popular family summer holiday destination on the Dorset Coast. This Blue Flag award winning sandy beach gently slopes down to the sea and offers ideal swimming conditions with an excellent range of children’s play area facilities and disabled access.
Visitors can enjoy the seafront restaurant and the sub tropical gardens full of and wide variety of tropical/sub-tropical plants, just a short walk from the promenade.
Traditional beach huts are available for rent, daily, weekly or for the winter season.
There are plenty of facilities close to the beach, and a selection of hotels, holiday apartments and B&Bs to rent in Alum Chine.
Dog friendly all year around but from 1st May and 30th September they are restricted from the area between groynes three and five. There are designated areas for dog walking to the east and west of the beach.
