Visit Ryde Beach
Ryde beach or Ryde East is a large sandy beach near the centre of Ryde on the Isle of Wight.
Great for a day out with the family, with a childrens playground on the beachfront. Swimming is safe and there are lifeguards on duty.
Walk along the beach to the harbour and along to Ryde Pier. There is a train station at the end of the pier, with links to the mainland and Shanklin. You can also get here by sea, it’s just a ten minute journey by hovercraft from Clarence Pier in Southsea.
This beach is dog friendly with restrictions during the summer.

Ryde Beach Dogs Policy
Dogs are allowed at Ryde Beach all year round.
Dogs are allowed on Ryde Pier all year, usually on leads. It’s a popular route for ferry passengers, so polite paws are a must. Always check ferry rules if travelling across.
A great walk with sea views and plenty of curious looks from passing boats.
