The Promenade

Visit The Promenade Hayling Island

Following the beachfront east from Eastoke, you will reach The Promenade on the south western tip of Hayling Island. The beach front properties end here and the nature reserve begins leading to Sandy Point. The Promenade runs along the south coast of Hayling Island. It links Eastoke, Beachlands, and Sandy Point. The path is flat and paved, making it easy to walk or cycle.

You get wide views across the Solent to the Isle of Wight. On clear days, boats and ferries pass close to shore. The area is clean and well kept, part of the island’s Blue Flag coastline.

The beach here is divided by granite sea defences, with lovely views across to the Witterings. This area is generally quieter than the main seafront and there are no facilities. It is still popular with day-trippers there is safe for bathing and paddling about.

A popular walking and cycling route, the promenade backs the beach and starts (or ends) here running towards Eastoke.

There are also great walks from here, to Sandy Point.
