Eastoke Beach

Visit Eastoke Beach

Eastoke Beach (also known as Eastoke Corner) sits on the eastern side of the seafront on Hayling Island. It is mostly shingle, with sand showing at low tide. Wooden groynes line the shore to reduce erosion.

The beach faces the Solent and has clear views of the Isle of Wight. It is close to shops, cafés, campsites, and a children’s play area. This makes it popular with families.

Relax on the grassy picnic areas or explore nearby shops and cafes, or take the kids to the children’s play area. Swimming, fishing, and watersports are common here. Conditions are usually calm, but always check flags and tide times. High tide is better for swimming.

Eastoke beach is popular with holiday makers with campsites nearby and plenty of local facilities. The start of the promenade is also here, which runs the full length of the seafront all the way to Sandy Point. Cyclists often take this route, as it’s a lovely ride.

Eastoke beach is popular during spring and autumn for fishing and you will often see anglers out on the seafront.

From here you can take the Hayling Seaside Railway for a seaside journey to Beachlands.

Dogs are not allowed from May to September. Wear sturdy shoes due to the pebbles. Ice cream vans and seafront facilities are close by.
