Chichester Avenue Beach

Visit Chichester Avenue Beach

Chichester Avenue Beach opposite Chichester Avenue on the seafront just east of Beachlands. This is one of the more quiet beaches along the Hayling Island Seafront.

It has shingle and open space, with views across the Solent.

The beach is backed by a wide swathe of grassland with beach huts at the top of the beach. It is within easy walking distance of the fairground and seafront entertainment.

This is a shingle beach, with the water getting deep quite quickly as you swim out at all states of the tide. It is suitable for paddling at high tide and beach games. Birdlife is common due to its link with Chichester Harbour.

The beach has wheelchair-friendly access paths. This makes it a good option for visitors with limited mobility. The setting is quiet and relaxed.

Parking is close. Facilities are limited. Dog rules apply seasonally, so check local signs before visiting.
