Visit Silloth West Beach
Silloth West Beach once a bustling Victorian spa resort, is famous for its views looking out accross the Solway Firth.
Along the seafront runs a wide promenade lined with trees and steps straight down to the shingle beach. Watersports enthusiasts gather for boat races, jet-ski racing, sea canoeing, and there are facilities for sea fishing.
To the south of the town just passed the docks there is a vast stretch of sandy beach, backed by dunes.
Silloth is on both the Cumbria Coastal Way and the Cumbria Cycle Way and there are plenty of facilities for holidaymakers and a variety of accommodation including B&Bs, hotels and holiday parks.
