Drigg Beach

Visit Drigg Beach

Drigg Beach is a wide sandy beach, off the beaten track near Seascale in Cumbria.

The beach is backed by sprawling dunes which are designated Sites of Special Scientific Interest.

It is never crowded and ideal for kitesufing or a long walk with the dog, south towards the mouth of the Ravenglass estuary.

As you walk down the beach, you will spot old military posts along the way.

There are no facilities here, but there is a car park at the end of Shore Road, a few minutes drive from the station.

Drigg beach is dog friendly all year round.
