Spittal Beach

Visit Spittal Beach

The sandy beach at Spittal runs from the River Tweed to the cliffs at Bears Head, on the Northumberland coast. This beach is family friendly with a splash park and childrens play area on the beach front. There is also a traditional arcade and cafe for snacks and refreshments.

Once a busy seaside day out for Victorian holidaymakers, the beach is still popular with visitors and locals.

The long sandy beach is backed by a promenade and is a perfect spot for bracing walks looking out across the North Sea.
