Widemouth Bay

Visit Widemouth Bay

One of Cornwall’s top surfing beaches, Widemouth Bay (or Widemouth Beach) just south of Bude, is a long sandy stretch of beach on the South West Coast path.

The west facing beach offers long sunsets and great Atlanic ocean views. Enjoyed by families during the summer holidays there is plenty of accommodation nearby, surf shops and other facilities. The water quality is excellent and safe for bathing and there are RNLI lifeguards on duty during the holiday season.

Surfers enjoy the the conditions throughout the year and there are a number of local surf schools on the beachfront with surf board and wet suit hire.

There is seafront parking with two carparks on Marine Drive.

Dogs are not allowed on Widemouth beach from Easter until October 1st, but on the south side of the rocky outcrop on Black Rock beach dogs are allowed all year round.
