Visit Manorbier Beach
Manorbier Beach is South West facing sandy beach on the South Pembrokshire Coast in Wales. A stunning and dramatic spot on the South Pembrokeshire coast that’s loved by surfers, families, and walkers alike.
Beneath a medieval castle and surrounded by rolling hills and rocky cliffs, Manorbier Beach is one of Pembrokeshire’s most atmospheric and naturally beautiful beaches. You can visit the castle before or after your beach day for the full historical experience.
This sandy beach boasts stunning views and great sunsets, making it a popular destination for families during the summer holidays. Access to the beach is via a narrow road, but parking (and public toilets) are available nearby. Keep in mind that the parking area fills up quickly during peak season.
If you are a surfer, you will love Manorbier Beach, as it is a popular year-round surfing spot. However, strong currents mean that it is not recommended for beginners. There are no lifeguards, and the currents can be strong. It’s important to be cautious when swimming here, especially with children or during rough conditions.
There’s a Stream for Kids to Paddle In! A freshwater stream flows across the beach into the sea – perfect for young children to safely splash and play when the sea feels too chilly or rough.
On a hot summer’s day, you might spot an ice cream van, but it’s always a good idea to bring your own snacks and drinks just in case. A great spot for a day trip. Manorbier village has a lovely café, a local shop, and castle tours, making it ideal for a full-day visit. It feels quieter and more relaxed than Tenby but still has everything you need for a memorable outing.
Dogs are welcome all year, making it a fantastic place for dog owners to let their pups run wild and splash in the stream or surf.
