Coppet Hall Beach

Visit Coppet Hall Beach

Coppet Hall Beach is a local gem of the South Pembrokeshire coast, boasting a charming mix of sand and pebbles that make it a unique and picturesque destination.

Tucked between the more famous Saundersfoot Beach and Wiseman’s Bridge, Coppet Hall Beach is a lovely, quieter spot with golden sands, a family-friendly vibe, and some of the best sea views in the area.

Coppet Hall is literally a short tunnel walk away from Saundersfoot Beach. This means you get the peaceful atmosphere without being too far from the bustle of shops and cafés.

With shallow waters, soft sands, and great accessibility, Coppet Hall is perfect for families with young children. It’s smaller and more contained than Saundersfoot, offering a relaxing setting.

While predominantly sandy, the beach does have shingle patches near the high tide mark. At low tide, a wide expanse of golden sand is revealed – great for beach games and sandcastle-building.

While it gets visitors, it’s often quieter than Saundersfoot, especially in the early mornings or late afternoons. It’s a great option for those wanting a beach day without the crowds.

The beach is popular for stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) and kayaking, with calm waters on most days. If you’re into gentle adventures on the sea, this is a great launching point.

Like many beaches in Pembrokeshire, Coppet Hall changes dramatically with the tide. At high tide, space is limited; at low tide, it opens up beautifully.

Coppet Hall is part of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, with an easy, flat walk through tunnels and along cliffs to Wiseman’s Bridge – one of the area’s most scenic coastal strolls.

Seasonal dog restrictions do apply on parts of the beach (from May–Sept) – check signage before visiting with pups

Whether you’re walking from Saundersfoot or parking right at the beach, Coppet Hall is easy to get to, making it a great spontaneous beach stop.
