Visit Llangrannog Beach
Llangrannog Beach also referred to as “Traeth y Pentref” is a stunning sandy cove located in the picturesque village of Llangrannog, Ceredigion, Wales. Thousands of holidaymakers visit the smalll seaside village and enjoy the beach each year.
The lovely sandy cove, backed by cliffs, has a distinctive large rock called ‘Carreg Bica’ and is a popular surfing destination.
The beach is sheltered, making it a safe spot for families and children. At the western end, you’ll find fishing boats and surfing equipment gathered around the slipway, adding to the beach’s vibrant atmosphere.
There are lifeguards on duty here during the holiday season, from June to September.
The beach is divided from Cilborth Beach by a distinctive rock formation known as Carreg Bica, which is steeped in local legend. According to folklore, this rock was once a giant’s tooth.
At low tide, you can walk from Llangrannog Beach to Cilborth Beach, which is a hidden sandy cove accessible via a steep flight of steps from the coast path.
There is parking by the beach, pub and take away for a bit to eat.
