Visit Perranuthnoe Beach
Perranuthnoe Beach (or Perran Sands), just under two miles east of Marazion, is a sandy stretch of coast with sand at low tide. Surfers and watersports enthusiasts regularly visit the beach.
The beach is well-equipped with amenities, including public toilets and beachfront cafe. The Cabin Beach Cafe offers refreshments and light bites during the day.
Perranuthnoe Beach is ideal for families, with its gently sloping sands and calm waters providing a safe environment for young swimmers. Seasonal RNLI lifeguard services are available from early July to early September. The beach also offers reasonably consistent surfing conditions, although it tends to be flatter during the summer months.
For those interested in exploring the surrounding area, the coastal paths near Perranuthnoe Beach offer breathtaking views and a variety of walking routes. A popular option is the walk from Perranuthnoe to Prussia Cove, featuring picturesque coastal scenery and relics of Cornwall’s smuggling past.

Nearby attractions include the historic market town of Marazion and the enchanting St Michael’s Mount.
Dogs are welcome on the beach most of the year, but restrictions apply from July 1 to August 31 between 10 am and 6 pm.
