Vault Beach

Visit Vault Beach

Framed by rugged cliffs and stretching between Cadythew Rocks and Dodman Point, Vault Beach showcases Cornwall’s raw coastal beauty. Here, you’ll find no crowded cafes or souvenir shops – just the sound of waves and seabirds.

Just south of Gorran Haven, this secluded gem offers a true escape from the bustling world. Its wide, sheltered bay provides the perfect setting for a peaceful day by the sea. As the tide goes out, the shingle shore transforms, revealing stretches of golden sand.

Rent a kayak or paddleboard and glide across the crystal-clear waters of the English Channel. For land lovers, the South West Coast Path backs the length of the beach and offers breathtaking cliff-top walks with panoramic views.

Bring your dog any time of year, there is loads of space for them to run around. And for those seeking an all-over tan, the southern end of the beach is a popular spot for naturists in summer.

There is a car park close by on Lamledra Hill, and you can walk to the beach from there.
