Summers Beach – St Mawes

Visit Summers Beach

Summers beach is the most popular beach in St Mawes, on the South Cornwall coast. Also known as Freshwater Beach, Summers Beach is a hidden treasure. This sheltered, shingle beach is larger than its neighbor, Tavern Beach.

The beach is on the eastern side of the harbour, with a long stretch of sand and shingle, with rock pools exposed at low tide.

Take a refreshing dip in the clear waters, perfect for a cooling swim on hot days. There are designated swimming zones here and a pontoon to swim out to.

As a haven for boating enthusiasts, St Mawes boasts excellent facilities for sailors of all levels.
