Hoodny Cove

Visit Hoodny Cove

Portwrinkle has two main beaches, Hoodny Cove is a small sandy beach just to the West of the village. On the eastern side on the beach is a small quay and harbour which once a busy fishing port. Many of the houses just above the beach are the old pilchard cellars, another reminder of the local history.

This beach is great for families and is slightly more sheltered than neighbouring Finnygook beach.
