Visit Elander Cove
Elander Cove is a secluded sandy cove tucked beneath cliffs along the South Devon coast, historically used by smugglers.
This small rugged cove is reached only by walking down a steep path. This beach is not so easy to get to but a wonderful spot. The cove’s cliffs hide small caves and tidal pools.
This remote cove is perfect for snorkelling, quiet paddling, or simply enjoying the dramatic cliffs and calm waters. Facilities are non-existent, so visitors should come prepared with food, water, and sturdy footwear.

Elander Cove Dogs Policy
Dogs are welcome all year round at Elander Cove.
It’s secluded and works well for controlled off-lead dogs. The access is steep, so leashing on the way down is wise.
Quiet, wild, and wonderfully peaceful.
