Helford Passage Beach

Visit Helford Passage Beach

Helford Passage Beach is small sandy beach on the mouth of the Helford River in South Cornwall.

On the beach front is the 300 year old Ferryboat Inn, serving great food and drink.

It is a bustling spot with boats and the ferry coming and going across the River to Helford.

For most of the year, from Easter to October, a small daily ferry takes visitors and locals across the river. The journey time between Helford Village and Helford Passage is about 10 minutes.

The South West Coast Path runs along the beach front here, and walkers can stop and enjoy the views. There are lots of lovely local walks from here and a visit to the nearby Trebah Garden is a must.

Swimmers should take care not to go to far out as there are strong currents from the river Helford.
