Reculver Beach

Visit Reculver Beach

Reculver Beach, in the rural setting of the Reculver Country Park, is a long ten mile stretch of shingle beach on the north Kent coast.

A great place to get away from it all, bring the dog and take a walk along the sea front to the Reculver Church medieval ruins, or follow The Saxon Shore Way Trail to nearby Herne Bay. There are also Cycling Trails including the Oyster Bay Trail.

Did you Know? The 12th century Reculver church towers are on the remains of a fort and a Saxon monastery, and can bee seen from Herne Bay.

The flat salt marsh area behind the beach is home to holiday parks and a Pub near the Car park for refreshments.

Reculver Country Park is designated a Special Protection Area (SPA) and Special Site of Scientific Interest (SSSI) recognised for the abundant wildlife and bird life.

The beach is dog friendly all year round and popular with local walkers.
