Visit Hythe Beach

Hythe Beach is a popular shingle beach on the Kent coast between Folkstone and Dymchurch. This wide beach has lots of space to speard out and enjoy with views overlooking the English Channel.

Walk along the promenade which backs the beach (thee are lots of benches along the way to stop and and have a break) or take The Royal Military Canal Path, a walk which forms part of the Saxon Shoreway.

The area behind the beach is mainly residential, but there are a few cafes and restaurants along the seafront. Stop off for lunch at the Hythe Bay Seafood Restaurant and have a traditional cod and chips or stay for the weekend in Victorian grandeur on the seafront at the Hythe Imperial Hotel. Golf lovers can enjoy the hotel’s nine hole course situated between the canal and the beach.
