Visit Hythe Beach
Hythe Beach is a popular shingle beach on the Kent coast between Folkstone and Dymchurch. This wide beach has lots of space to speard out and enjoy with views overlooking the English Channel.
Walk along the promenade which backs the beach (thee are lots of benches along the way to stop and and have a break) or take The Royal Military Canal Path, a walk which forms part of the Saxon Shoreway.
The area behind the beach is mainly residential, but there are a few cafes and restaurants along the seafront. Stop off for lunch at the Hythe Bay Seafood Restaurant and have a traditional cod and chips or stay for the weekend in Victorian grandeur on the seafront at the Hythe Imperial Hotel. Golf lovers can enjoy the hotel’s nine hole course situated between the canal and the beach.
Hythe Beach is also a popular spot for fishing and windsurfing, just along the beach is the Hythe and Saltwood Sailing Club.

This beach is dog friendly off peak season and restricted between 1st May -30th September. Dogs are allowed on the Promenade but must be kept on leads.
