Sandown Beach

Visit Sandown Beach

Sandown Beach is a gorgeous stretch of sand located on the southeast coast of the Isle of Wight. With five miles of golden sands where you can relax, build sandcastles, or take a dip in the sea! It’s got a gentle slope, so it’s perfect for families with kids. Plus, it’s been awarded the Blue Flag status, which means it’s clean and safe – always a good sign for a beach day!

The beach is equipped with cafes, restaurants, toilets, and disabled facilities. Lifeguards are present from 11am to 6pm during the summer season to ensure safety.

Fun Activities

Families can enjoy attractions such as Dinosaur Isle, a museum dedicated to the Isle of Wight’s prehistoric past, and the Wildheart Animal Sanctuary, which focuses on conservation and education.

And don’t forget about Sandown Pier! It’s packed with fun things to do, like arcades, bowling, and crazy golf, perfect for a day out with the family.

Throughout the year, there are fun events like summer carnivals and the Sandown Bay Regatta, which features beach sports and activities for everyone.
