Visit Cowes East Beach
East Cowes is a tranquil escape from the busier parts of the Isle of Wight, and a great place to relax and watch the sailing.
It’s a tidal beach, the shingle area can disappear during high tide times. The beach runs along the Esplanade, which is a short distance from East Cowes town centre.
While East Cowes is a relatively small beach, its proximity to the town amenities and views of sailing activities in the Solent make it an attractive option, especially during the warmer spring and summer seasons.
Take a stroll along the Esplanade or explore the wooded area behind the beach for pleasant walks. You will also find a family-friendly adventure playground and paddling pool along the Esplanade.

Cowes East Dogs Policy
Dogs are welcome at East Cowes Beach, but seasonal restrictions apply.
Summer rules apply here too, with dogs restricted from 1 May to 30 September on the main esplanade section.
Quieter areas nearby remain dog friendly, even in peak season. It’s a good spot for a calmer walk, with boats, ferries and lots of interesting smells. A nice change of pace for sensitive snouts.
