Winchelsea Beach

Visit Winchelsea Beach

Winchelsea Beach is a quiet unspoilt shingle beach, just to the West of Camber Sands, with flat wet sand at low tide. It is a perfect location for long walks and enjoying the views. Swimming is best at high tide.

Rye Harbour Nature Reserve

The sea wall extends the length of the beach and the Rye Harbour Nature Reserve backs the eastern side of the beach.

It is popular with dog walkers and there are many species of birds on the sands and nearby marshland of Rye Harbour Nature Reserve.
