Visit Knott End Beach
The wide expanse of sand at Knott End beach on the Lancashire coast, has been enjoyed by families for generations. The small coastal village of Knott End-on-Sea sits on the mouth of the River Wye.
For walkers there is a five mile circular walk that starts and ends at The Bourne Arms Pub.
Look out for the sculpture of famous Lancashire artist LS Lowry, with his dog, on the seafont. He often used to visit Knott End in the 1940s and 50s and sketch. His painting, ‘The Jetty at Knott End’ was painted here. The statue was unveiled in 2015, to commemorate his work and links to the area.
Play a round of golf at the Knott End Golf Club.
Take the 10 minute ferry ride, which runs between Fleetwood and Knotts End, and is also dog friendly!
