Award winning Blackpool South beach stretches from South Pier to the southern end of Blackpool, with a wide expanse of sand, that is popular with families and tourists.

While it is lively and bustling, the beach is a slightly quieter than Central Beach.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach is next to South Beach. This famous amusement park features a variety of thrilling rides, including “The Big One,” which is one of Europe’s tallest and fastest roller coasters. The park attracts visitors looking for adrenaline-fueled fun.

South Pier, also offers a variety of amusements and funfair rides. Whether you’re looking for thrilling rides like the Skycoaster and Cliffhanger or more family-friendly options, there’s something for everyone.

Blackpool South Beach is also home to the World’s Biggest Mirror Ball, always a popular Instagram shot! Made with adorned with 47,000 mirror tiles and lights up the area at night.

Dogs are allowed on the beach during the winter months restricted between North Pier and South Pier from the beginning of May until the end of September.
