Visit Whitehaven Beach
Whitehaven, on the Cumbria coast, has sandy beaches to the North and South of the Docks. The beach is popular for fishing and there are Maritime Festivals held regularly.
Once one of the most important ports in the country during the 17th and 18th centuries. The town of Whithaven was built on shipping and mining, and has a rich maritime past and a number of visitor attractions.
Did you Know? The famous architect, Sir John Rennie, who designed London Bridge, also built Whitehaven’s West Pier.
