Llandudno West Beach

Visit Llandudno West Beach

Lovely Llandudno West beach on the North Wales coast is known for its stunning sunsets and natural beauty. The long sandy beach is backed by dunes, ideal for long afternoon walks.

West beach or West Shore, is generally quieter than the North Shore, with miles of sandy shoreline backed by sand dunes, and superb views along the coast towards the Isle of Anglesey and Puffin Island.

Families can stroll along the promenade and enjoy the boating lake and childrens play area, or head to the other end of the beach to the West Shore Miniature Railway and the North Wales Golf Club.

You can swim here, when the conditions are right, however there are no lifeguards on duty. When the tide is out a huge expanse of sand appears and there is plenty of room to roam.

Dogs are allowed on the beach off-season, and are restricted from 1st May and 30th September, between the two stone groynes.
