Traeth Mawr or Big Beach in Cemaes Bay, situated just east of the harbour is a lovely family destination with of sand and rock pools. It has all the traditional seaside attractions and on the beach is the The Cemaes Time and Tide Bell sculpture. Dogs must always be kept on a lead on the promenade.

There are free public toilets, including a disabled toilet, located in the main Traeth Mawr Car Park.
