Robin Hood’s Bay on the Yorkshire coast is a large bay with sandy areas and extensive rocky areas exposed at low tide.

Pop in to the to the local museum and the National Trust’s visitor centre in the Old Coastguard Station on the beachfront. For a family day out explore the beach and hunt for fossils.

Robin Hoods Bay has a number of good local pubs and restaurants close by.

Walkers can take the Cleveland Way to Whitby about 7 miles north along the cliff top or all the way to Scarborough about 15 miles south.

For horse riders the Farsyde Riding Centre offers horse riding on Robin Hood’s Bay Beach.

The beach is dog friendly all year round.

There is a pay and display car park on Station Road opposite the Victoria Hotel.
