Sheringham Beach is a popular family friendly blue flag beach on the Norfolk coast.
The beach disappears at high tide but when the tide goes out, reveals a lovely wide stretch of golden sand and rock pools to explore.
The seaside town of Sheringham, was once a small Norfolk fishing village until the late 1800’s with the arrival of railway, which brought visitors from around the country.
It is lovely seaside destination for families as the are plenty of amenities, and things to do. Along the promenade are colourful beach huts, with cafes, amusement arcades and a public shower!. Backing the beach is the Sheringham Golf Club, ideal for a round of golf with spectacular sea views.
To take in the local history visit the Sheringham Museum or walk all the way along the beach towards Beeston Cliffs.
As you walk east, you get to the Sheringham Boating Lake where you join the Norfolk Coast path between the beach and the Golf course.
Tourists and locals alike enjoy the Norfolk events that take place every summer.
Sheringham has free on-street parking and parking close to the beach, although it does get busy in the summer time.
