Frinton Beach

Visit Frinton Beach

Frinton-on-Sea is a charming seaside town on the Essex ‘Sunshine Coast’. Wide, sandy Frinton beach is unspoilt and quieter than neighbouring beaches with no kiosks and amusement parks.

Behind the beach, you’ll find a spacious grassy area known as the Greensward. Perfect for picnics, relaxation, and sports, and you might even catch sight of kite surfers or summer events taking place here.

Kite surfing and watersports are popular here, with several sports schools operating on the beach. The Frinton Golf course backs the southern side of the beach for those looking for golf on the coast.

During the summer months, from May half-term to early September, lifeguards are on duty, ensuring a safe environment for all beachgoers.

There are beach huts (there are several available to rent) along the beachfront which are popular with families during the summer.

While there are no food outlets directly on the promenade, you won’t go hungry. A short walk will take you to Connaught Avenue, the town’s high street, where you’ll find an array of shops, cafes, and restaurants.
