Brixham’s well-loved local Pannier Market has reopened to the public. The market is located in Scala Hall, in Brixham’s central iconic Town Hall. Currently open on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 09.30 and 4.00pm.
Scala Hall is just steps away from Brixham’s bus terminal, and the main public car-park. Entry is accessible to all, including wheelchair and mobility scooter users.
You’ll find a wealth of local businesses and community stalls, selling beautiful, unique, handcrafted gifts, paintings, jewellery, cards, and souvenirs. In addition, we have stalls selling fantastic home-ware, pet food and supplies, and some delicious home baked cakes. We also have a great second hand book stall, with a constantly changing selection of paperbacks and hardbacks, perfect for that holiday read, with all money going to support the town’s theatre company, The South Devon Players.
To top it all, we have a fabulous café (currently takeaway) with a range of hot and cold drinks, hot bacon rolls and gorgeous cheese scones, all home baked and freshly made.
Shaun, the market manager, and all the stall holders, can’t wait to see you all again. Shaun says “We’ve worked hard to create a safe and welcoming shopping experience for you, so why not add to your day out in Brixham by popping in to see us, and picking up something local and unique, at fantastic prices. You’ll be supporting local artists, businesses and community groups too, as we all try to get back to normal. You’ll find a large, airy space in the market hall, with one way systems, lots of hand gel, screens, and contactless payment, to keep everyone safe. Don’t forget your face masks too!”
