South Tyneside Festival
This annual festival is the largest free summer festival in the North East and typically kicks off with a parade through the town. It culminates in events at Bents Park and includes performances along the Sandhaven Promenade. Expect street theatre, live music, and vibrant entertainment, making it a highlight of the summer season.

The Big Dippa
The Big Dippa is an exciting paddleboard racing event held at Whitley Bay Beach, typically in late August. This date is part of the North Sea Weekender festival.
