Ynyslas Beach

Visit Ynyslas Beach

Ynyslas Beach lies between Cardigan Bay and the Dyfi Estuary, a mile north of Borth on the coast of Ceredigion. The beach is part of the Ynyslas Sand Dunes, which are included in the Dyfi National Nature Reserve, a protected area that hosts a variety of rare plants and wildlife.

The beach has 3 miles of sand stretching northwards to the sand dunes and the Dyfi Estuary.

The conditions on this beach are good for kite surfers who can be seen enjoying the waves.

At low tide, a huge beach is exposed sometimes you can see the remains of a prehistoric forest, with stumps of ancient trees occasionally visible on the mudflats.

Dogs are not allowed on the beach from May 1 to September 30.
