Aberaeron Beach

Visit Aberaeron Beach

The lovely seaside town of Aberaeron on the Ceredigion coast of West Wales between the towns of Cardigan and Aberystwyth.

Once a thriving port, with ship building, herring fisheries and industry, these days it attracts visitors throughout the year.

The southern part of the beach is popular among experienced surfers and bodyboarders, particularly when conditions are favorable.

The beach is part of the Wales Coast Path, providing scenic walking routes along the coastline. You can enjoy leisurely strolls while taking in the beautiful views of Cardigan Bay.

The area is popular for sea fishing, with opportunities for both shore fishing and small boat sailing.

Dogs are allowed on Aberaeron Beach, but restrictions may apply during the peak summer season (May to September). It’s advisable to check local signage for specific regulations. Aberaeron North beach is dog friendly all year round.
