Visit Praa Sands

Praa Sands is in the stunning coastal village and beach located in the civil parish of Breage, Cornwall. It is known for its beautiful white sand beach, which stretches for about a mile, and sits between the towns of Helston and Penzance. The area is part of the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

The long sandy beach long, wide, south-facing beach, which is backed by grass-topped sand dunes and bordered by wild headlands.

The beach is popular with both families and surfers, offering shallow waters for safe swimming and powerful waves for surfing, especially in the winter months when conditions are more challenging

There are RNLI Lifeguards on duty during the holidays season.

There is also a surf shop, a fish and chip shop, and the Sandbar, a beachside pub with panoramic ocean views.

Dogs are welcome on the beach except between July 1st and August 31st from 10am to 6pm, when a seasonal dog ban is in place.

Nearest Train

Praa Sands is easily accessible by car via the A394 road, with parking available at the western end of the beach. Public transport options include a train to Penzance Station followed by a bus ride.
