Porthcurnick Beach

Visit Porthcurnick Beach

Porthcurnick Beach is a beautiful unspoilt gently curving beach. A south east facing sandy cove, owned by the National Trust, just north of Portscatho on the Roseland peninsula.

Golden sands stretching out before you. When the tide is out, Porthcurnick reveals its full beauty, providing plenty of space for sunbathing, picnicking, or building sandcastles. The beach’s gently sloping shore and relatively shallow waters make it an ideal spot for families, offering safe paddling and bathing.

Porthcurnick’s star attraction is the award-winning Hidden Hut Cafe, located the beachfront. This fantastic beachside eatery offers delicious refreshments and meals, perfect for refueling after a day of seaside fun. Don’t miss the chance to sample some of their renowned dishes while taking in the coastal views.

Porthcurnick is a dog-friendly beach. From March to September, dogs are welcome but must be kept on a leash between 9 am and 6 pm. Outside these times and months, your four-legged friends can roam freely, making it a great spot for year-round walks.

You can get to the beach easily, as it is just a short walk from the main car park in Portscatho.

This part of the coast is ideal for exploring the Roseland Peninsula, between the River Fal and the sea.
