Visit Ready Money Cove
Ready Money Cove is a small sandy beach just South of the harbour town of Fowey. The beach is backed by Covington Woods and the Fowey section of the South West Coast Path starts here.
The remains of St Catherine’s Castle, built in 1536 by Henry VIII to defend the harbour, are on the rocks overlooking the beach.
Did you know? Author Daphne Du Maurier lived in a cottage overlooking the beach in the 1940’s
Swimming is safe within the cove and snorkeling is popular. Holidaymakers take the footpath to Fowey or the 10 minute ferry ride across to the village of Polruan.
This beach is dog friendly with Summer restrictions from May 1 through October 30th
