Visit Ready Money Cove
Ready Money Cove is a small sandy beach just South of the harbour town of Fowey. The beach is backed by Covington Woods and the Fowey section of the South West Coast Path starts here.
The remains of St Catherine’s Castle, built in 1536 by Henry VIII to defend the harbour, are on the rocks overlooking the beach.
Swimming is safe within the cove and snorkeling is popular. Holidaymakers take the footpath to Fowey or the 10 minute ferry ride across to the village of Polruan.
