Visit Exmouth Beach

Exmouth Beach in South Devon, has two miles of Blue flag winning sandy beach, ideal for families swimming, building sandcastles or exploring the rock pools.

The beach is a short walk from the town centre from the mouth of the Exe in the east to Orcombe point in the west. The long sandy beach offers all the fun of the seaside, from rockpooling, water sports and boat trips. There are family facilities behind the beach at Queens Drive Space, ice cream and refreshment kiosks and public toilets along the seafront

There are fairly large public car parks close by.

Dogs are allowed all year at the two ends of the beach from the third break water east and from the Octagon café west and are not allowed on the central part of the beach from May 1st to September 30th.

Exmouth Beach Dogs Policy

Dogs are allowed at Exmouth Beach, but seasonal restrictions apply.

Dogs are banned from 1 May to 30 September between the Octagon Café and the second groyne towards Orcombe Point.

Dogs are allowed year-round at both ends of the beach. Leads are required on the esplanade and marked zones.

Off-season visits offer long, breezy walks with space to roam.
