Dawlish Warren is a popular sandy beach in Teignbridge, South Devon. A Blue Flag award-winning beach, there are excellent family friendly facilities available.

This beach is ideal for nature lovers. Enjoy the beach, the water is clean and it is safe to swim. There are RNLI lifeguards on duty during the holidays.

Play a round of golf at the Warren Golf Course, or relax and enjoy the restaurants and pubs near by.

Dawlish Warren Nature Reserve is an area of grassland, sand dunes, mudflats and centres on a 1 mile long sandspit.

Well worth a visit if you are a nature lover, with excellent viewing for wading birds and wildfowl. Around the nature reserve all dogs must be kept on leads, no more than 2 metres in length, all year round.

Dawlish Warren Dogs Policy

Dogs are restricted from 1 April to 30 September between the lifeguard tower and groyne 3, which is the main resort area.

Dogs are welcome all year on the tidal beach to the right of the tower and between groynes 3 and 9. Dogs must be on leads (max 2 metres) at all times in the nature reserve and resort areas.

Brilliant for estuary walks, but dogs should not chase birds or seals — polite paws only.
