Churston Cove

Visit Churston Cove

Churston Cove is a tiny, pebbled beach reached by a woodland path, offering one of the most intimate coastal experiences in South Devon. Enclosed by steep cliffs, it feels natural and largely untouched, ideal for visitors seeking quiet over convenience.

It’s next to Fishcombe Beach, is a quiet sand and shingle beach reached on foot from the South West Coast Path. Swimming is usually gentle in settled weather, and the cove’s sheltered position makes it a pleasant spot for an afternoon.

It is an ideal location for escaping the crowds and enjoying a relaxing day by the sea.

There are no facilities on the beach itself, however Brixham Harbour is just a short drive away.

Churston Cove lies close to Agatha Christie’s Greenway Estate, now managed by the National Trust. The surrounding landscape is believed to have inspired elements of her writing, adding a literary connection to the setting.
